If I had to name a few underrated Magick techniques, the Three Pillars would undoubtedly be among them. Also called the Lightning Flash ritual, the exercise is based on the Middle Pillar based on the Elevenfold Seal. More like the former and less like the latter, the Three Pillars technique works with (almost) the whole Tree. It follows the Lightning Flash, engaging all spheres plus Da’ath.

The Lightning Flash

Also called the Flaming Sword moving downward, the Lightning Flash is associated with 777, YHVH, the Four Qabalistic Worlds, and the manifestation process going top to bottom (as the Tree roots in the heavens). Moving upward, it is associated with the serpent coiling around the spheres. The second represents the aspirant climbing the Tree to unfold their divinity.

East and West

According to Dion Fortune, a significant difference between Western magicians and Eastern Yogis is that they actually work with the entire Tree, engaging the pillars of function. IMHO, the Tree Pillars technique might be the best way to start one’s journey into that, as it teaches the fourfold Nature method employed for planetary work. It also complements the practices of those finding value in emphasizing the side pillars.

Four

Each sephirah contains a Tree with four worlds. In its most basic variation, the Three Pillars rite sticks to one name and plain coloring. More elaborate ones add different names and colors and even include the Lightning Flash paths. Teaching correspondences through active practice, the Three Pillars Rite unfolds the crucial-for-practical magick dual planetary nature reflected in the King and Queenscale colorways.

Outside Magick

Based on personal experience, the Three Pillars rite has a superior balancing effect. As a staple in my practice, I found it can combat racing thoughts after rituals without banishings, increase focus and tranquility, and even help to get better long-time rest and power naps. It can be used before different visualization and affirmation techniques, like ones for improving self-image, etc.

Due to this, I created a Three Pillars PDF, breaking down all stages, implications, and variations. The cheat sheet includes diagrams, instructions, and correspondence, such as tweaks from my practice. Based on my research, it is the most complete Three Pillars rite manual (made so far) that my younger self would (definitely) enjoy. I have no doubts it will provide value to others, (especially) those appreciating my approach to creating content and digital assets. So go check on my digital stores, subscribe to my channels, check my books, and Thank you for your time!
