What is my opinion on things like:

Ketosis, Low Carb, High Carb, Vegan & Vegetarian diets, raw food , starches, meats and how useful they are when it comes to eating one meal a day.

Since I was a teenager, I use experiment with different stuff.
I was always searching for ways to improve my
mood and performance.

Even than those two had huge importance in my life, so I was doing what ever it takes in order to make it happen.

One of the first experiments I did was to follow strictly vegetarian diet.

This was long time ago when I was 16 to 19 years old.

So what happened ?

I felt very miserable. I was craving food 24/7.

I use to be hungry non stop.

Back than I was not aware of things such as nutrition deficiencies.

I was chubby kid. I had male boobs I wanted to hide so bad by covering my body with huge clothes.

I was rocking only 6xl tees.
I was so
embarrassed of my look.

When people asked, I told them it was because of the street culture and hip hop, in which I was heavily involved, but the real purpose was different.

I had 0 confidence and I was afraid of many things.

One of them was that I will never be able to make ladies turn heads and smile, when they see me.

I was living with lot of pain in my heart.

I was not aware of the fact that brain prefers ketones over glucose.

I did not know fats provide long lasting sustainable levels of energy, while carbs crash and leave you tired 40 to 60 minutes after their consumption.

Back than in probably over 95% of the time. I had not enough energy to get anything done.

My face was bloated. I felt and looked older, but I was 10 years younger.

I had some erection problems.

Those high carb vegetarian diets made me feel like crap.

Back than whole life seemed so difficult to me.

I was definitely not the most pleasant person to be around.

When switched to a standard, high carb bodybuilding diet things changed, I can easily tell I felt way better, but was I still felt tired.

I eliminated all of the fructose since I found it is the worst sugar you can use.

This was a desperately needed improvement and it worked so well, but it was nowhere near enough.

I wanted to be able to create music and other content.

But every time I tried to actually make something, my performance suffered.

My brain was not connecting the needed dots, because of that often I felt desperate and even depressed.

I did not know big part of the human brain is made out of Fat .

I was not aware that I ha the recently discovered conditioning called: “Fat Deprived Brain”.

I was counting calories and I was measuring my foods every day.
I avoided fat specially a
nimal.

Yes, I was tracking my macros. Matter of fact I broke 4 scales back than . . .

I was following everything highly recommended by the fitness industry.

6/7 small meals, heavy weights, cardio, complex carbs, cheap chicken breasts, egg whites, oats and protein shakes.

I was sleeping 8 or more hours, because I’ve been told it  is required “needed”  if want to have muscles while living happy and productive life.

I was even buying bodybuilding
magazines, but all of that was getting me nowhere near where I wanted to be, so I started searching for content on different places.

I found information about the steaks and eggs diet on an underground entrepreneur website and that changed everything.

Once I adapted to in 2014 KETO the older version of me died.

My depression was gone. I gained confidence I never had.

I became leaner, more muscular and started having a lot more definition.

I started to execute.

I started to feel free.

I said goodbye to the hunger, desire for food, cravings and I even started sleeping for 5 to 6 hours per night

During this period I was working mostly on music, because it was my main priority back than.

To a big extent this was associated with my childhood’s dreams. And I kinda turned them into a reality.

I can continue with this, but for the most part this showed me how to run s**t on my own and be the one who I want to be.

This improved every aspect of my life including my ability to learn all types od completely different things and skills.

I guess my reasons of why I no longer follow the diets mentioned above are pretty solid. But please let me give you some

Food for thought:

Human bodies are able to store around 400gr of carbohydrates in form of muscle glycogen, while they already have reserve of 40 000 calories
of stored body
fat.

This is true for every human being on this planet, besides the bodybuilders pre contest, in the moment when they step on stage.

In a situation where too much carbohydrates are ingested, the excessive amounts are stored as stubborn fat.

Carbohydrates are non essential macronutrient, so body converts them into fat.

The reason for this, is because their body fat percentage is ridiculously low.

The most essential for the human body way to burn fuel is by mobilizing fatty acids as primary energy source.

If needed, it also has the amazing ability to produce glucose on it’s own.

Clear example of this is the reaction called Gluconeogenesis.

A process of turning amino acids into
sugars.

The most similar to the human fat is the animal.
Being adapted to burn them is the closest to relying on your own.

With all of that being said, you on your side do the calculations and figure out which is more practical when it comes to not eating for 16, 24, 36, 48 or even more hours.

Carbs or Fats ?

One of my biggest inspirations when I was transforming my Steaks and eggs to an OMAD with mostly meats and other fats diet was the great Dr. Dominic D’agostino.

I heard about his experiment of not eating any food for 10 days straight and pulling some heavy deadlifts for reps.

This was also my main inspiration for 5 per week experiment.

It is actually the first time when I understand that the OMAD thing can possible and even sustainable if you use the right approach.

I mean without any side effects.

Starches.
Do I think they are food for humans.

But I do believe athletes might benefit from some occasional, consumption of the so called Safe Starches.

Currently I use some yams or white basmati rice once in a while.
